in 2021, we embarked on a journey and bought an old, unmaintained A-frame with all the charm in the world. we decided that the home needed a name and landed on the elf haus, affectionately named after our cherished furry companion. originally a DIY project dating back to the 1970s, this A-frame demanded substantial restoration to transform it into a livable space. the extensive renovation process has been a profound learning experience, enriching us with newfound skills and insights. each step of the way has been an adventure, and now, we're thrilled to open our doors and share our slice of paradise with you! 

we are outdoor enthusiasts and love the mountains. we enjoy adventuring in our home state of colorado, as well as the rest of the country and world. 

a native of south africa, rob began his career playing professional squash. rob transitioned into every other sport that colorado has to offer, including triathlon, cycling, running, snowboarding, and skimo. rob is constantly trying to perfect the latte.

amy grew up in the midwest and was a competitive swimmer. living in the mountains since the mid-2000s led her to trail running. she enjoys exploring trails all around colorado through training and racing. amy is a self-professed sleep connoisseur.
