several named mountain ranges define the perimeter of park county, including the mosquito range above fairplay and alma. this spectacular range includes 4 of colorado's peaks higher than 14,000 feet, as well as 25 named summits above 13,000 feet.
skiing
breckenridge is known for its ski resort, year-round alpine activities and gold rush history. the victorian core of this former mining town is preserved as the breckenridge national historic district, with colorfully painted buildings from the 1880s and '90s housing shops, galleries and restaurants.
Fishing
the area is surrounded by immense peaks, lush evergreen forests, and excellent fishing opportunities. from vast mountain reservoirs to pleasant streams brimming with trout, the towns of fairplay & bailey happen to be close to fishing spots so promising that anglers from around the world travel to them.

explore historic front street in fairplay, snap some photos, and enjoy the many shops and restaurants. take a tour of south park city. enjoy a beverage at south park brewing. take a stroll around the neighborhood, while on the lookout for moose, or enjoy a coffee on the deck and the fresh mountain air.
